Privacy Policy
At Aluming, we take your privacy and the security of your communication data seriously. This Privacy Policy outlines how Aluming operates, how we handle your data, and specifically addresses our integration with Google Workspace APIs (OAuth).
1. Google Workspace API Usage
Aluming requires access to your Gmail account via Google OAuth (using the https://mail.google.com/ scope) to provide core functionality: sending customized networking and job outreach emails on your behalf, and checking your inbox strictly to identify replies or bounces to those specific emails.
- Limited Use Restrictions: Aluming's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- No Data Harvesting: We do not use your Gmail data for advertising, market research, or any purpose other than facilitating your direct job hunt outreach. We do not sell or share any Gmail data with third parties.
- Scope of Access: The application only utilizes the Gmail API to dispatch emails you explicitly authorize within the application interface and to read message headers to verify delivery statuses.
2. Local First & Data Storage
Aluming is architected to prioritize local computing and private databases over shared cloud infrastructure. Your networking templates, drafted messages, and contact lists are synchronized only with your private configured database (e.g., your personal Supabase instance). Aluming as an entity has no access to your databases, credentials, or generated emails.
3. Information We Do Not Collect
Because Aluming functions as an authorized client application running primarily on your infrastructure, we do not centrally store, monitor, or aggregate any analytics regarding your emails or job hunting progress centrally. All processing occurs between your private deployment and your Google Account.
4. Revoking Access
You may revoke Aluming's access to your Google Account at any time. This can be done directly within the Aluming application's "Settings" menu by clicking "Disconnect Gmail", or by visiting your Google Account Security Dashboard and removing Aluming from your connected third-party applications.
5. Contact
If you have any questions regarding how your data or your Google Workspace data is handled by the Aluming project, please contact us via our developer repository.
